The best-performing content usually starts with a question someone is actually asking. Here is a simple way to plan articles and pages that earn their place.
Start with intent
Before writing, ask what the searcher wants. Are they looking for information, comparing options, or ready to contact someone? The answer decides whether the page should be a guide, a comparison or a service page.
Group related questions into topics
Collect the questions your customers ask most and group them by theme. Each theme can become a main page supported by shorter pages that go deeper on specific points.
Give every page one job
If two pages try to answer the same question they compete with each other. Merge them, or make the difference between them clear.
Write a short brief first
- Who the page is for and what they want to know
- The main points and questions to cover
- Which service page or enquiry route to link to
Link to the next step
Every useful article should point readers somewhere helpful: a related guide or the service that solves their problem.
Review and refresh
Check older content once or twice a year. Update what is out of date, merge pages that overlap and remove anything that no longer serves a purpose.
